One-Bowl Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup (80ml) melted butter
1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar (or granulated sugar)
1 large egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips (plus extra for topping if desired)
-----------------------------------------------
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until mostly smooth.
3. Add the melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
4. Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, mix briefly.
5. Add the flour and stir just until incorporated — don’t overmix.
6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Add a few extra chocolate chips on top if you like.
8. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
9. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
